OnePlus 2 have begun receiving OxygenOS 2.1.0 OTA update



Following the OxygenOS 2.0.2 and as promised in the past, OnePlus have started the incremental roll-out of their latest version of OxygenOS to the OnePlus 2 smartphones globally. According to the newest thread in the official OnePlus forum, the development team for the Chinese phone maker, have already started seeding the new iteration of OxygenOS 2.1.0 to a small percentage of users, beginning yesterday, and depending on how things go with the new software upgrade, they will initially begin rolling out to more phones around the world.

The new software refreshment is said to pack a bunch of late bug fixes and improvements for the OnePlus 2 handsets, and as Helen (administrator) mentions, they are not yet done with it all, but with this recently developed version of OxygenOS, the manufacturer seems to address most of the frequent issues, being faced by the users on their device. So, here are the changes and highlights you will notice on your phones, after downloading and installing the current overhaul.

  • Added manual mode for the native camera.
  • Raw support is now enabled for third party camera apps that support this format
  • There's this new color balance slider for Display, basically to adjust the color tone of your display on screen.
  • Exchange support
  • Fixes for issues that was causing problems to popular 3rd party applications
  • Telephony service improvements, eliminating the lag when turning airplane mode on/off

Lastly for an update to the thread, Helen added that, "We are seeing some reports of RAW format still not being supported in 3rd party camera apps. We will investigate this and provide a follow up soon."
