Motorola announces the latest Moto G for 2015



Motorola, the multinational telecommunications company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States, at their international launch event held earlier yesterday, have announced their latest generation and successor Moto G smartphone for the year, that comes with upgraded internals and features the new design from it's predecessor smartphone of 2014.

Bringing an end to the mass rumors, speculations and leaked reports, Motorola's new smartphone, official from the Americans will be the model to watch for advanced water resistance, embracing the IPX7-rated certifications on board for protection from liquid splashes and other accidental drops in water, surviving up to one meters under for 30 minutes. As for the design, the phone will continue with the maker's trademark dual-stereo speakers on the front adjacent to the display, and facets almost same construction, but with modified accents to the sides and on the back accompanying the camera, flash and the manufacturer branding.

The phone will also be customizable with the company's own moto maker, where interested customers can head over to build your own Moto G 2015 smartphone, bringing personalized tailor-made features to the handset like editing the accent piece shades, choosing from different front and back colors, as well as engraving, through which you can add your name or a short message on the back of the device.

From the internal hardware and software specifications of the new Moto handset, this will be a well modernized version from it's previous replica, this time around packing the late 64-bit architecture based Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 SoC, clocked at 1.4GHz and an Adreno 306 with 400 MHz Graphics Processing Unit. From the front we're first treated with a 5-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution pixels at 294 pixels-per-inch in protection of third generation Corning's Gorilla Glass.

The phone will be making it's way in couple of version, first one with 1 gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM) and 8 gigabytes of internal storage and another being the hiked up version attributing 2 gigabytes of RAM and 16 gigabytes of mass storage option, while both models being expandable via microSD card slot up to 32 gigabytes.

From the camera, you will receive an enhanced 13 megapixels primary sensor with the aperture of f/2.0, also with 76 degrees field of view , CCT dual-LED flash light, 4x digital zoom and auto-focus. The software also traits other characteristics like Quick Capture, which launches the camera app by twisting the user's wrist with the phone in hands, along with tap anywhere to capture, slow motion video recording features, burst mode, auto-HDR, panorama, video iHDR, manual focus and exposure controls, timer and an active viewfinder, that also recognizes QR codes and barcodes. On the front is a reformed five megapixels with f/2.2 aperture, again a 72 degrees of FOV, display flash and fixed focus. The secondary snapper also showcases most of the primary shooter qualities.

For connectivity, the Motorola made Moto G will be having GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA+, 4G LTE and CDMA connections with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth version 4.0 Low Energy (LE), GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and Beidou. Sensors will include accelerometer, ambient light, proximity and hub sensors. There's a 2,470mAh powered battery offering mixed usage up to 24 hours times. Operating system for the new Moto G phone will be Android 5.1.1 Lollipop at boot.

Lastly for the exciting part, the phone has already been made available and as mentioned by the folks at Motorola, this is their biggest Moto G launch yet, by shipping it to more than 60 countries worldwide, that will be from North America, Latin America, Europe to Asia Pacific, which has already began it's journey. The phone is priced starting at $179.99 in the Stateside for the 1 GB/8 GB variant and about 40 Dollars plus for the 2 GB/16 GB version, that makes it around $219.99 without any further customizations through moto maker (different pricing details are now up on local websites for each country).

Motorola Shells are also sold separately in shades of Black, Navy, Cabernet, Golden Yellow, Lime, Cherry, Blue, Turquoise, Raspberry and Chalk tones, with another set of Motorola Flip Shells, that comes in tints of Turquoise with Dark Teal, Blue with Navy, Raspberry with Cabernet, Crimson with Cherry and  Licorice with Charcoal.

At the event in New Delhi, the phone makers have launched the phone to India, where it will be available exclusively from their e-commerce partner Flipkart, at the price tags of ₹11,999 ($189) and ₹12,999 ($203), respectively for each. They also have scheduled some launch day offers for the customers planning to buy the new Moto G 2015 via Flipkart before August 2, will get 100 percent cashback and discounts on the Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch, basically allowing you to purchase the smartwatch for as low as ₹1, alongside other gift vouchers. All the Motorola Moto G 2015 smartphones will come bundled with Airtel 4G SIM cards. As the moto maker is not available in country yet, you will be able grab the Motorola Moto Shells for the device, which should add some contrive.

Cricket Wireless now carrying HTC Desire 626s and LG G Stylo for the US
