Following the late announcement of LG couple of days back, with their Gentle smart folding flip phone, we now have Samsung again from the same place of business capital, going official with their next generation clamshell smartphone for the folks looking to turn back to the long way from where it all began.
Yes, Samsung's Galaxy Folder for 2015 has been officially announced in Seoul, South Korea, that will take it's place as the manufacturer's successor smartphone to the Galaxy Folder which was introduced back in 2013, this time around running over the latest Android operating system of the present. Like any other smart flip phone out in the Era, the new Galaxy Folder will too feature a dedicated hardware large-sized keypad with a navigation buttons and shortcuts, that can get you the most frequently used applications with a press of a key, as well as a touch screen display, because unless you get an active touchscreen panel, Samsung won't like calling it a smartphone. All these should make the Galaxy Folder more convenient to use than their existing flip phone of the past.
For now the phone definitely doesn't seems to cross the borders of South Korea, as it will be retailed in the country in two models, one being the 4G LTE version and other one a 3G version, which is reported to be an exclusive to the South Korean wireless telecommunications operator, SK Telecom. The LTE models will meet you through Mobile virtual network operators from Korea, starting next month, August for a price of 297,000 South Korean Won, that makes it about 256 United States Dollars.
When talking specs about the phone, we will have a 3.8-inches touchscreen, eight gigabytes of internal mass storage, that can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128 gigabytes, an eight megapixels primary camera and a two megapixels front facing secondary snapper. There's also WiFi network connectivity and a 1,800mAh powered battery. The phones will be out in both Black and White color options.
