ZTE in China now have their flagship Axon with the new Axon Watch and Spro 2 Smart Projector



ZTE's lately out flagship smartphone Axon Pro, that made it's official appearance in the United States a few days back has now headed to the company's homeland for sales and will be attracting some of the Chinese folks along with a new wearable smartwatch from the leading mobile device maker, dubbed as the new Axon Watch. Earlier yesterday, the countryside manufacturer announced the arrival of their new products along with previously introduced Spro 2 Smart Projector, that debuted at this year's Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas Convention Center, to China at Water Cube in Beijing.

"Today's launch marks a significant new chapter in product development for ZTE, and the three devices launched today are results of our ongoing commitment to becoming more consumer-centric in the global market, Following its US debut last week, we are excited to bring our first ever global flagship to China – a market where our aim is to return to being a top-three smartphone vendor within the next three years," said Adam Zeng, CEO, ZTE Mobile Device.

Talking about the Axon phone, that's flying to China, actually brings a number of additional features for especially for the Chinese markets and the people of this large country. Apart from that, the handset will continue attributing the same premium and alluring design as the version that has been launched in the United States, recently. So for the upgrades, we will have a phone that packs a fingerprint scanner on that back alike the Huawei Honor 7, over that we now have dual-SIM card capability, support to 128 GB of internal memory, that is even expandable to 256 GB, also the screen in protection of Corning's Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass.

ZTE's Axon for China also boasts to be the world's first smartphone that can be unlocked with three different biometric authentication processes, that includes fingerprint, voice control and eye-scan. Also the Axon's fingerprint scanner is said to offer support for NFC payments. The units are already up for pre-orders in China, which comes in couple of versions, that is the 128 GB model and 32 GB variant, priced 3,888 Chinese Yuan, about 626 USD and 2,699 RMB, around $435, respectively for these unlocked versions, shaded in Ion Gold and Chromium Silver colors. According to the words of ZTE, they will soon be releasing an Axon Mini version, in the near future.



As for the product description of all new Axon Watch, the device will embrace a 1.4-inch screen protected again with Corning Gorilla Glass and special sapphire coating. Like most of the wearables from the market, this will too be IP67-certified for dust and water resistance, making the Axon Watch more of a robust kind. It'll hold a 512 megabytes of Random Access Memory, 4 gigabytes of internal storage, and connects with Bluetooth 4.1. The watch is powered with a 300mAh battery. Developed by ZTE and Tencent, the new smartwatch will runs Tencent operating system, and supports both voice and gesture controls. Lastly for the functions, ZTE's new make will catch attention on users focused for both fitness and health monitoring, that finds support a range of it's apps and showcased calls and messaging from the synced phone.



Finally when we look at the Spro 2 Smart Projector, which was once launched in the US exclusively for AT&T and Verizon, now ships including mobile hotspot features and a built-in 5-inches touchscreen of Android OS. Now for the Chinese residents, the company has decided to add a the innovative voice control solution, that will allow it's users for hands-free control over the smart projector while in action. For example, you can simply say "projector on" to activate the device and can control the device further using other voice commands. Spro 2 Smart Projector will be tagged for 3,699 RMB (roughly $596) in China that is now taking pre-orders.
