ZTE and T-Mobile announced Obsidian, coming this 13



A few days back, there came in an announcement from ZTE USA, yes again quoting them being the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the Stateside and the second largest in the no-contract business, bringing the latest and affordable mid-ranged Android powered smartphone, ZTE Obsidian to the countryside network T-Mobile. The new phone from the company is scheduled to make it's launch in the US exclusively for the T-Mobile consumers, starting from 13 of this month.

"The ZTE Obsidian was built for consumers who prefer a more affordable smartphone option that delivers core features to meet their day-to-day needs, but also has a modern, sleek build. Working with T-Mobile, we dared to deliver a smartphone that provides the speed and reliability consumers want at a price they can afford," said Lixin Cheng, Chairman and CEO of ZTE USA.

Talking little about the newly introduced handset, the phone comes specially focusing the budget-minded customers, which will climb down the rocks, packing a sleek design in build as well as fourth generation LTE connections capabilities from ZTE and T-Mobile, respectively. The device is also mentioned to be your perfect match for seamless streaming to music, downloading pictures and more when paired with their Data Strong network.

So, the all new ZTE Obsidian will come out of the box sporting a 4.5-inches FWVGA screen of 480 x 854 resolution pixels, Quad-Core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at a gigahertz, one gigabyte of Random Access Memory and an awful four gigabytes of internal mass storage, that can be expanded up to 32 gigabytes via microSD card slot.

There'a a five megapixels main shooter on the back with LED flash and a two megapixels secondary camera on the front. For connectivity the phone deals with UMTS/HSPA+ 42Mbps and is 4G LTE capable, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi calling support and GPS for further mappings and location tracking, The battery on the Obsidian can proffer a straight six hours of talk time and up to 10.4 days standby, which is all powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
