LG Electronics made Gentle smart flip Android phone offered in South Korea



It seems like the South Korean multinational manufacturer, LG has been looking back the history very often at times, as the company have introduced yet another entry-level Android smart flip phone for the Common Era, naming it to be the latest LG Gentle running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, following their previously announced flip smartphones, that made it to the year's Mobile World Congress trade exhibition.

Today the news came in from their homeland, South Korea, that the phone will be featured as the company's successor to LG Wine Smart and Ice Cream Smart folding phones, which are the two models from the fleet, announced by the phone maker in the past.

In terms of the hardware, the phone will attribute large and clear physical keypad alongside hardware buttons making it more appropriate for elderly use with the LCD touchscreen, bringing some app shortcuts right on the phone, like the dedicated navigation buttons of the Lollipop fashion, for camera, as well as the picking and ending call keys. The device is also said to pack some of the popular IM applications such as the KakaoTalk. LG's all new Gentle will come with soft and stylish rounded design, with a leather like material on the exterior, fits easily in your hand and gives you a luxury feel and comfortable grip when holding the phone.

"Since the end of last year, we launched the Smart Wine and Ice Cream Smart, consumer and customer satisfaction is high for our customized products. We will continue to launch customized products considering the lifestyle of various users," said Cho Sung-Ha, Executive Vice President of LG Electronics.

The new smart folding flip phone from LG will have a 3.2-inches Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen of 480 x 320 resolution display, a Quad-Core 1.1GHz processor, one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, four gigabytes of internal mass storage, expandable via microSD card slot, a fair three megapixels primary camera and a VGA front facing secondary snapper, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and WiFi connectivity with 4G LTE networks, a 1,700mAh powered removable battery, running over Android's 5.1 Lollipop based LG UX on top.

This smartphone is measured at 117.7 x 58.7 x 16.6 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 143 grams. As for the availability, we are not sure whether the phone will make outside the South Korean markets, where it's being sold for ₩200,000, that about 171 United States Dollars after rough conversion, in shades of Navy and Burgundy colors.
